1955 1956 CHEVY 265 V8 STARTER MOTOR MOUNTING ADAPTER PLATE. A new starter motor mounting plate for a 55-56 Chevy with a 265 V-8.

When using a later model automatic transmission, there is no way to bolt on the starter. This plate provides a means to bolt up a starter when running a transmission such as a turbo 350, 400 700R4 etc. This plate fits between the transmission and block. The original style starter motor must be used and also a 168 tooth flywheel. This plate could also be used on later model engines that the starter mount portion of the block has been broken off.
